Paul Foster

Paul graduated from the Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) course at the University of Sydney in 2003. He as been the principal clinician at Palmerston Physiotherapy Clinic since 2006 and completed the post-graduate Master of Physiotherapy (Musculoskeletal) at the University of Queensland in 2013.

Professional interests:

Paul has worked at Hills Street Sports Medicine Centre, Gosford, NSW and Territory Sportsmedicine, Parap, NT gaining extensive experience in musculoskeletal medicine and orthopaedic rehabilitation, with a particular focus on sports-related injuries. He is regularly consulted by insurance companies and rehabilitation providers for opinion regarding complex compensation cases. When not at work Paul enjoys getting out for a round of golf and spending time with his kids.


Damon Sala
musculoskeletal Physiotherapist

Damon is from Ballarat, Victoria and studied at La Trobe University, Bundoora/Bendigo Campuses and obtained a Bachelor Degree of Physiotherapy.  In 2015 Damon completed the Master of Physiotherapy (Musculoskeletal) at the University of Queensland.

He spent three years working at Castlemaine Health in rural Victoria, spending time on rehabilitation and acute wards while also completing a significant amount of time in the outpatient clinic. Damon moved to Darwin and started working at our clinic in January 2013. His professional interests include sporting injuries with a focus on knees and ankles, as well as having an interest in low back and neck injuries. His personal interests are travelling, soccer, and photography.


Jacob Sciacca

Jacob is from Darwin and studied at University of Western Australia where he graduated with a Bachelor of Sports and Exercise Science and Masters of Physiotherapy Studies.

He has previously worked at Princess Alexandra Hosptial - Brisbane, Robina Rehabilitation Hospital - Gold Coast, Private Practice in Perth and Nightcliff Dragons Rugby Club. Jacob joined the team in January 2014 and successfully completed his Master of Physiotherapy (Musculoskeletal) at Curtin University, Western Australia in 2017.

His interests are Rugby League, AFL, fishing, hunting and camping.

Katrina Leembruggen

Katrina studied Physiotherapy in Western Australia, graduating from Curtin University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy.

Katrina spent two years working in private practice and with sporting teams in Perth before relocating to Darwin to commence working at a local hospital. Katrina joined the team in August 2017 and has since gained experience in assessment and treatment of various musculoskeletal conditions. She has a particular interest in the treatment and management of acute and chronic cardiorespiratory conditions. Katrina’s personal interests include martial arts, functional training, camping, hiking and travelling.


Darryl Dean

Darryl studied at James Cook University and qualified with Bachelor of Physiotherapy. He has experience in general musculoskeletal, post natal and antenatal education, home based rehabilitation, acute care and orthopaedic rehab.

Darryl has travelled widely around Australia as an "Army Brat" and continued to live a gypsy life style as an adult, he prefers the tropics and has spent more time in North Queensland than anywhere else. Darryl joined the team at our clinic in February 2014. Darryl has experience in general musculoskeletal, post natal and antenatal education, home based rehabilitation, acute care and orthopaedic rehab.

Samson physiotherapist palmerston

Samson Leung

Samson was born and raised in Darwin and studied at James Cook University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. He joined the Palmerston Physiotherapy Clinic team in April 2016.

Samson spent 2 years working in private practice and sporting teams in Melbourne before moving back home. He is currently working with Victorian hockey teams and the national country hockey team. Where he finds interests in sporting injuries and rehabilitation as well as shoulders and lower backs. Outside of work Samson enjoys swimming and playing touch football.


Kale Bettison

Kale is from Katherine Northern Territory, and studied his Bachelor of Human Movement (Sports and Exercise Science) and Masters of Physiotherapy at the University of South Australia.

Kale has previously worked at Royal Adelaide Hospital and at the Flinders Park Football Club in Adelaide South Australia. He has experience in sports, musculoskeletal, aged care and orthopaedic rehabilitation. Outside of work Kale enjoys travel, playing soccer and keeping active.


Sriharan “Kanna” Manogharan

Kanna was awarded the Doctor of Physiotherapy, an extended undergraduate Masters degree, at Macquarie University in 2015 after completion of his Bachelor degree in Exercise and Sports Science in 2011.

His experience and professional interests include orthopaedics, post-operative rehabilitation and musculoskeletal physiotherapy. His personal interests are playing and watching sports, being outdoors, keeping active and meeting people. He is always looking to learn, develop and grow professionally and personally striving to be better than yesterday.

Joanne Browne

Jo is from country South Australia and obtained her bachelor degree in exercise science at UniSA before graduating from her Master of Physiotherapy degree in Perth in 2012.

Jo spent four and a half years working in private practice in the Adelaide Hills before moving to Darwin. In recent years she worked with footy and hockey clubs and has also treated several rock bands on their Australian tours. Jo enjoys hiking, travel, playing hockey and cheering on the Adelaide Crows.


Massage Therapy

Peter Clifton, Remedial Masseuse

Peter is from Melbourne, Victoria and moved to the territory in 2008. He qualified as a Remedial Massage Therapist with a Diploma in Health Science, Medical Massage in 2004 having studied at E.S.T.T College of Natural Medicine in Mulgrave, Victoria.

Peter has worked with elite sporting professionals in the AFL, NRL and at a State cricket level. He also has work experience at local club level with Noble Park football club 2002 - 2004 and volunteered in sporting events such as the Masters Games in Melbourne in 2002 and the Colac 24 hour marathon. Peter has also worked for 4/5 star hotels in Melbourne as a mobile therapist and in Private Practices with Physiotherapists, Osteopaths and Chiropractors. He commenced with Palmerston Physiotherapy in February 2014. Peter enjoys a wide range of sports and spending quality time with his children.
